Obama stands by public option in healthcare debate
A debate over the so-called public option has overshadowed Obama's plan to expand health coverage to tens of millions of Americans while reducing costs and making the health insurance sector more competitive.
On Sunday Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the public option was "not the essential element" of the overhaul, sparking furor among supporters and forcing the White House to clarify its message about Obama's chief legislative priority.

Gaza: Invasion Analysis
The land of Palestine was awarded to the Jews, for settlement against their sufferings from the hands of Hitler. Do we have a road map for alleviation of the sufferings of Palestinians? Or will they fade away in history?
The recent invasion of Gaza by Israel under the code name “Operation Cast Land” or “The Gaza Massacre” has brought mayhem for the Gaza city, Palestine and a world wide catastrophe may be in offing. Israel has rejected the demands for ceasefire and withdrawal and is in no mode to negotiate. Let us analyze the situation.
1. Prelude to the current invasion:
The first phase of the current invasion of Gaza was the planned withdrawal of all the Jews from Gaza called as the “Disengagement Plan” implemented in August 2005. This was to ensure least or none Jewish civilian casualties, when any future Gaza invasion is planned. The issue of the settlements in Gaza was presented as part of Washington's "road map to peace". Celebrated by the Palestinians as a "victory. On the contrary, it was part of the overall plan, which consisted in transforming Gaza into a concentration camp. As long as Jewish settlers were living inside Gaza, the objective of sustaining a large barricaded prison territory could not be achieved. The Implementation of "Operation Cast Lead" required "no Jews in Gaza". The building of the infamous Apartheid Wall was decided upon at the beginning of the Sharon government. The next phase was the Hamas election victory in January 2006. Without Arafat, the Israelis knew that Fatah under Mahmoud Abbas would lose the elections. This was part of the scenario, which had been envisaged and analyzed. With Hamas in charge of the Palestinian authority, using the pretext that Hamas is a terrorist organization, Israel would carry out the process of cantonization of Palestine.
2. Why?
The reshaping of the Middle East is the plan of the decision makers of the world. This invasion appears to be a part of that process. Thegoal of this plan, seems to be the expulsion of Palestinians from Palestinian lands:"Terrorize the civilian population, assuring maximal destruction of property and cultural resources… [T]he daily life of the Palestinians must be rendered unbearable: They should be locked up in cities and towns, prevented from exercising normal economic life, cut off from workplaces, schools and hospitals, This will encourage emigration and weaken the resistance to future expulsions" Ur Shlonsky, quoted by Ghali Hassan, Gaza: The World's Largest Prison, Global Research, 2005).
3. Why Gaza was chosen?
Gaza has easy access into remaining Palestine. It is the stronghold of Hammas, which is apparently oppose to PLO and has its own government within a government in Gaza. Furthermore, to implement the so-called "cantonization" of the Palestinian territories whereby the West Bank and Gaza would be totally cut off from each other, with separate "governments" in each of the territories. Under this scenario, already envisaged in 2001, Israel: "will negotiate separately with Palestinian forces that are dominant in each territory-Palestinian forces responsible for security, intelligence and organization.
4. Timing:
The timing of the invasion is important. It was at a time of the year, when it is coming to an end. The western world was busy in Christmas and enjoying the long holidays. The American government is in transition. This will give enough time for the new American President-elect to take his office and plan any strategy that may need to be taken for his new role.
Israel’s Prime Minister’s term is at near end. Diverting attention from the corruption charges that he is facing, and creating a path for his foreign Minister to strengthen her position. While on the other side, PA’s President Mahmood Abbas’s term is at renewal
5. Choice of targets:
The target is the infrastructure of Gaza and majority of the casualties are those of civilians. This will create catastrophe and eviction of Palestinians from Gaza. It may create a global response to the Israeli act.
6. Role of Americans:
Israel is a fortunate country that it has backing of the lone super power in the world. A blue eyed child of the Americans that is pampered to an extent that it cannot be reined.
7. Role of United Nations:
The epic body to resolve global differences and bring peace was formed after the second world war. However, it is yet to enforce its resolutions on Israel. We need to evaluate the role of United Nations and the veto power that the security council members enjoy, especially in such cases. With the absence of a Muslim voice in the Security Council’s permanent membership, it has been nearly impossible to push any resolution that deals with fairness when it comes to Muslims and their countries. A permanent seat for a leading Muslim country that can be on a rotation basis and the observer status for Organization of Muslim Conference and Arab League could be an ideal solution.
8. Role of 3Ms’:
The decision makers of the world, long time ago focused on three “MMM” concept. They came to a conclusion that in order to gain control on a global basis, they need to control the three “MMM”. They made a plan to control the world through-Media, Military Might, and Money. With the three “MMM” in control, they have achieved their goal.
By controlling media they can put in front of a common viewer what they want them to know and keep secret what they do not want them to know. A common man is a hostage to the media that portrays the policies of the decision makers of the world. The role of media becomes bias when it comes to Israel. The sufferings of Palestinians as portrayed by the Western media appears to be insignificant, compared to minor destruction in some parts of Israel by the home made rockets.
The military might of the decision makers is significant to control the world. Militarily, and for global control, the world is divided into four quadrants, with each group supporting the decision makers’ cause is controlling their quadrant. Might is right has been proven in the past in cases of Vietnam, Korea and in present time in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2009, the Military might of Israel is currently creating havoc for the poor Palestinians, who were booted out of their homes in 1948, to accommodate Jews from all over the world as a payback to their suffering in WWII. Where and when, we will be able to provide the same treatment to the Palestinians, as granted to Israel in 1948?
The third “M” that is an important tool for the global control is Money. In early days the goods were traded on a barter basis, then came the era of gold as the gold standard. However, with the discovery of oil in Middle East, it was delinked with gold and purposely linked with Dollar to have a control on this black gold. With the global recession on the horizon, Dollar will fade away, to be replaced by “Amero”, the planned new currency of the Union of North America. The money replacing money, changing hands but creating crises that we will witness in the coming time. The three “MMM” are playing an important role in the current venture of Gaza invasion.
9. Correlating with previous expeditions:
Israel has undertaken annexation of the Palestinian territory also in past. The current invasion, seems to be a permanent extension of the boundaries of Israel.
10. Prelude to a new upcoming global war:
Initially, a local, then a regional, and God forbid, may give rise to a global conflict. This can be a prelude to the third world war, that will be devastating for the mankind. This will also provide an opportunity to test the new weaponry that may be in the arsenal.
11. Role of HAMAS:
Muslim Brotherhood is an Egyptian based Islamic organization. HAMAS (The Islamic Resistance Movement) was formed as an extension of this movement in Palestine, by late Sheik Ahmed Yassin, at the onset of the first Palestinian uprising or Intifadah in late 1987. It has an armed element, called the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, that conducts anti-Israeli attacks. The Social-political elements engage in "Dawa" or ministry activities, which include running charities and schools, fund-raising and political activities. A Shura council based in Damascus, Syria, sets overall policy. Before its creation, late Sheik Ahmed Yassin, retured from Cairo in the seventies, he established an Islamic charity association. Prime Minister Golda Meir, saw this as an opportunity to counterbalance the rise of Arafat's Fatah movement. Furthermore, "The Islamic associations as well as the university had been supported and encouraged by the Israeli military authority" in charge of the (civilian) administration of the West Bank and Gaza. "They [the Islamic associations and the university] were authorized to receive money payments from abroad."HAMAS had set up orphanages and health clinics, as well as a network of schools, workshops which created employment for women as well as system of financial aid to the poor. And in 1978, they created an "Islamic University" in Gaza. "The military authority was convinced that these activities would weaken both the PLO and the leftist organizations in Gaza." Ahmed Yassin was in prison when, the Oslo accords (Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government) were signed in September 1993. The HAMAS had rejected Oslo outright. But at that time, 70% of Palestinians had condemned the attacks on Israeli civilians. Yassin did everything in his power to undermine the Oslo accords. These events were largely instrumental in the formation of a Right wing Israeli government following the May 1996 elections. Quite unexpectedly, Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered Sheik Ahmed Yassin to be released from prison ("on humanitarian grounds") where he was serving a life sentence. Meanwhile, Netanyahu, together with President Bill Clinton, was putting pressure on Arafat to control the HAMAS. Netanyahu allowed him to return to Gaza, where he was welcomed triumphantly as a hero in October 1997. Arafat was helpless in the face of these events. Moreover, because he had supported Saddam Hussein during the1991 Gulf war, (while the HAMAS had cautiously abstained from taking sides), the Gulf states decided to cut off their financing of the Palestinian Authority. Meanwhile, between February and April 1998, Sheik Ahmad Yassin was able to raise several hundred million dollars, from those same countries. The budget of HAMAS was said to be greater than that of the Palestinian Authority. These new sources of funding enabled them to effectively pursue their various charitable activities, and Israel did nothing to curb the inflow of money into the occupied territories.
It appears that HAMAS had built its strength through its various acts and at the same time was also against the peace process and prevented the application of the Oslo accords. Does it mean that HAMAS was fulfilling the functions for which it was originally created: to prevent the creation of a Palestinian State. Since winning Palestinian Authority (PA) elections in 2006, HAMAS has taken control of significant PA ministries, including the Ministry of Interior. HAMAS formed an expanded, overt militia called the Executive Force, subordinate to the Ministry. HAMAS has played an active role in antagonizing Palestinian Authority’s (PA’s) role and constantly keeping itself away from the policies of the PA. This may be working in the interest of Israel.
There could be several other parameters that can become a part of this analysis. However, the purpose is to outline the key players and the reasons in the Gaza Invasion and make a submission to them to use their authority to stop the sufferings of the people of Palestine and Israel.
The land of Palestine was awarded to the Jews, for settlement against their sufferings from the hands of Hitler. Do we have a road map for alleviation of the sufferings of Palestinians? Or will they fade away in history?

Best affiliate programs
Google Adsense - You may or may not be admitted into this program. Google has a lot of rules about who can and can't use their program. If you do get in, remember to never click on your own ads. This is a pay per click program, and if you get caught clicking on your own ads, and you will, you will be dropped from the program fast. These ads are mostly text ads, but are very eye catching and are self-updating. By this I mean that you place the code on your page for an ad and Google figures out which ads to put on which pages for you. This is really easy and is a big money maker for a lot of people
Amazon.com - This program is a pay per sale program. You place a link to a specific product on your Web page. If someone clicks through to Amazon.com and buys something, you make money. A lot of people buy from Amazon, so if you place the right ads on the right pages you just may make money from this.
Commission Junction - Use with caution. This is probably one of the biggest affiliate programs on the Net. Because of this, there are some rules you need to know. If you don't make money in six months they will charge you a fee and close your account. I'm not sure of the exact rule, but I had this happen to me once. This is a pay per sale program, and they have a lot of companies to choose from.
LinkShare - This is also a pay per sale program. They have a lot of companies you can choose to use. Place ads for companies that are similar to your site, and don't choose too many. It's tempting to choose a lot of different companies to place ads to but don't do it. Using the same ads on many different page is actually better for getting your readers to click on them.
Affiliate Fuel - Some of these ads are pay per sale and some are pay per lead. The companies advertising here are different than the kinds of companies and ads you will find on other affiliate programs.
BeFree - Very similar in structure to LinkShare and Commission Junction. This is a pay per sale program.
